Prügeltorte (Logcake)

Make a batter with eggs, butter, flour, sugar called "Eischwerteig" It means all ingredients are same weight as the eggs. Then a wooden log the "Prügel" is covered with baking paper and mounted over fire. Layers of dough are added and baked over fire. This takes as much as 2 hours to bake and lot of experience to create the characteristic surface with the tips.

Prügeltorte is a traditional cake for special events and weddings from Brandenberg in Tyrol. Requires a lot of time and an experienced baker.
